Cream Puffs!

They’re definitely one of my bestest, favest desserts in the world! 

It’s a unique moment when I eat a freshly-baked, well-made cream puff.  Biting into a crunchy caramel-coated exterior and then suddenly diving into luscious custard within…it gets to my brain everytime.  Absolutely delicious!

This one is from Dulcinea Restaurant, a Spanish restaurant that’s been around for decades.  They’re known for their tapas and pastries.  I usually go here for my cream puff fix, although I also do patronize other places.  The “original” flavor is usually my favorite–no fancy add-ons for me.

Happy Eastering

I just got back from a Holy Week affair. I was taking pictures of what I was having for lunch as a way to slowly get back into the stream of things. I was only clicking, actually. But to my surprise, the resulting photos reminded me of Easter symbols. I decided to post and share it in light of this special Sunday. It’s okay, you can tell me if it rings a different bell.  Heh.

Oh, but taste-wise I have to be clear that this post is not to say that Cafe Mediterranean makes me happy. After 4 days of focusing completely on something extra-sensory, I feel that my tastebuds are too numb to have a fair opinion.
