The Pretty Yellow Pepper

The Pretty Yellow Pepper

Project 365 - 1/15/2011 - 15/365

This photo is one of those times when I see poetry in a picture.  It’s simple yet evokes a feeling of serenity.  All the more remarkable because…it’s “just” a pepper, you know.

How did Cathy, the photographer, do it?

“I just cut out the bottom of the pepper and shined a small flashlight in it. It’s sitting on a piece of white acrylic to get the reflection.”

Would love to try this sometime! :)

On-the-Spot Studio

I was having after-dinner coffee with my mom at the restaurant of the hotel we were staying.  Our table had a spotlight of sorts above us, which made us feel as if we were on stage.  Fortunately, it was late evening.  There were hardly any people so the mood was more relaxed.

That is how the light made US feel.  On the food cutlery on the table, it looked really nice!  So I decided to fool around with my camera, and here is one I would like to share because it gives me happy vibes. :)
