It’s the perennial question: do you prefer tea OR coffee? Of course we can have both, but it’s more fun to make it a choose-one-only type of question. Besides, it’s something to talk about when you’ve exhausted the points about the weather (which is not necessarily the favored neutral topic it was before, what with tense happenings in most parts of the globe).
