In the Philippines, watermelon is synonymous with the dry season (we only have two: wet and dry).  It’s common knowledge that watermelon quenches thirst and refreshes the body, but did you know that it could also be a work of art, like the one above?

“I love you!” says the tomato to the…er, tomato.

Every few months I’ve discovered that I go on a cyclical phase where I reaffirm why I do something (anything, really) on an extended basis.

Why continue doing this?  What’s the point?

If I can answer that with honesty and with at least the same degree of passion as I started, then everything’s cool.  I feel reaffirmed that I’m doing something meaningful in my own little world.
